1. Go to USFDA Product Classification database website.
2. Type in the "Product Code" (see screenshot below, circled in red).
3. Click "Search".
4. The next screen shows description of the device.
US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) publicizes the descriptions/definitions of all device types and subtypes, but the web address of each device subtype is constantly updated as the medical device database rapidly grows. It is therefore necessary to always search for the updated device webpage.
