11. The next screen shows details of this device subtype. Make sure it is the subtype you are looking for, and write down the 3-letter "Product Code" (circled in red).
6. Go to USFDA Product Classification database website.
7. Type in the "Regulation Number" (circled in red).
8. Click "Search".
4. The next screen shows description of the device. Make sure it is the type of device you are looking for.
5. Write down the 7-digit "Regulation Number" (shown circled in red).
3. As an example, if you select "Orthopedic", the next screen shows all orthpedic device types. Select a device type on the list.
(Alternatively, device types can be searched using CFR Search page.)
Instruction
1. Go to USFDA Device Classification Panels website.
2. Select the "Medical Specialty" of the device, and click on the corresponding "Regulation Citation"(shown circled in red below).
9. The next screen shows a list of the device subtypes under this regulation number. (Regulation numbers with only one subtype do not have such a list; then step 8 will take you straight to step 11.)
10. Select a device subtype and click.
12. Go to Devices@FDA.
13. Type in the 3-letter Product Code (e.g., JDX, circled in red).
14. Click "Search".
15. The next screen shows all commercial products in this device subtype.
16. Select the product of your interest and click.
17. The next screen shows details of this particular device. Copy the web address (circled in red), put in the message space below, along with your name (last, first) and e-mail address, and send us. We will notify you shortly when the new device forum is available.

If you cannot find a forum for your device on our website, propose a new forum following the procedure below. In order to set up a new device forum, we first need to identify the device.
The following procedure shows how to search for any commercial medical device approved by USFDA, and leads you to the USFDA webpage that contains all the identification details about any device of your interest. Just send us the web address of that page via the message space at the bottom of this page. We will set up a forum for that device.
